Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are holistic healing systems that originated in China over 2,000 years ago. TCM is based on the concept of balancing the body's vital energy, known as Qi, which flows through pathways called meridians. Acupuncture, a key component of TCM, involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate these meridians, restore energy balance, and promote natural healing. TCM also includes herbal medicine, dietary therapy, massage (Tui Na), and practices like Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Together, these methods aim to treat illness, prevent disease, and enhance overall well-being by addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just symptoms.
